Post-game notes

• With the 79-71 win, Louisiana Tech tied the all-time series up with Georgia, 1-1.

• With the win, LA Tech advances to the NIT quarterfinals for just the second time in program history.

• LA Tech improved to 29-7 on the season. The 29 wins ties for the most victories in a single season in program history (29 in 1984-85).

• LA Tech improves to 10-7 all-time in NIT games.

• LA Tech had lost 12 straight to SEC opponents prior to today. This marked the first win since March 15, 2002 against an SEC opponent. Coincidentally, that victory came in the NIT as well in a win over Vanderbilt.

• Prior to the win today, the last time LA Tech won on the road at an SEC school was on Dec. 4, 2001 at Auburn.

• LA Tech starters were Alex Hamilton, Michale Kyser, Kenneth Smith, Chris Anderson and Jaron Johnson. This marked the 15th straight game with this starting lineup.

• With a three-pointer at the 11:38 mark in the first half, Kenyon McNeail became the career record holder at LA Tech for made three's. The record was 219 set by Lonnie Cooper (1995-99).

Alex Hamilton led all scorers with 20 points. This marked the seventh time this season the sophomore has scored at least 20 in a game.

Chris Anderson added 18 points along with a game-high eight rebounds. He has scored double digits in 11 off the last 12 games.

Cordarius Johnson scored 16 points, the most since Dec. 30 when he had 17 against Oklahoma.

• The LA Tech defense forced 19 turnovers. That marked the 23rd time this season LA Tech has forced at least 15 in a game. LA Tech is 23-0 when forcing at least 15.
