Louisiana Tech at Texas A&M Nov. 9, 2012 Game Notes
LA Tech starters for tonight's game were Michale Kyser, Brandon Gibson, Raheem Appleby, Kenneth Smith and Cordarius Johnson.
Tonight's announced attendance at Reed Arena was 5,066.
With the 71-59 loss, Texas A&M now leads the all-time series 4-2.
Michael White is 1-1 in season openers as head coach of the Bulldogs.
Newcomers Chris Anderson, Alex Hamilton and Jaron Johnson each scored in their first regular season game action as a Bulldog. Jaron led the way with seven points including two of the team's six three-pointers.
Guard Raheem Appleby had a game-high 20 points on 9-of-22 shooting. His 22 attempts tied his previous most in a single game (at Arkansas, Dec. 22, 2011).
Guard Kenneth Smith had three steals, all coming in the first half. That tied his personal best for most steals in the game which he did seven different times last season.
Guard Brandon Gibson fouled out with 3:02 left to play in the game having scored 13 points.
Forward Michale Kyser had a game-high four blocks on the night.
Texas A&M used a 10-2 run to take their largest lead of the game, 62-45.
