RUSTON - LA Tech vs. UL-Monroe Post-Game Notes: The Bulldogs defeated the Warhawks, 83-61, Sunday night in Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
Following a 83-61 win over UL-Monroe, Louisiana Tech continues to lead the all-time series over ULM 52-36. This is the sixth straight season the two teams have met on the hardwood, with LA Tech coming out victorious in all six of those meetings.
With a 22-point margin of victory, Louisiana Tech handed ULM its worst loss of the season thus far. Prior to tonight's game, ULM had losses against No. 5 Kansas (L, 80-63), LSU (L, 61-54) and Ole Miss (L, 75-62).
The Bulldogs are now 6-0 this season when the scoring margin is 21 points or more.
LA Tech (10-3, 0-0 C-USA); ULM (3-4, 0-0 Sun Belt). ULM is 2-1 at home this season, while the Bulldogs are now 3-1 in road games.
Alex Hamilton led the Bulldogs with 17 points, while adding nine rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks in the win over the Warhawks. Tonight is the fourth time this season that Hamilton has been the leading scorer for the Bulldogs.
Michale Kyser had four blocks on the night, which brings his season total up to 55 blocks. Kyser has now recorded at least three blocks in 12 of the 13 games this season. He is currently in third place all-time for career blocks as a Bulldog with 207.
With four assists vs. ULM, Kenneth Smith is now in sole possession of fifth place on the all-time career assists list (382). Coming into tonight's game, Smith needed just one assist to surpass Alan Davis on the all-time career assists list.
Kenneth Smith had two steals in tonight's game vs. the Warhawks, which gives him sole possession of ninth place in career steals in Bulldog history (128).
After a win tonight, LA Tech is now 10-0 on the season when leading opponents at half time. The Bulldogs led the Warhawks, 48-30, at the end of the first half.
