Tests Come Back Negative on Appleby Injury

Jan. 9, 2014

RUSTON - Louisiana Tech junior guard Raheem Appleby received great news late Thursday night as tests on his left ankle came back negative.

Appleby, who went down in the first half of the Bulldogs Conference USA opener versus Florida Atlantic, appeared to have suffered a severe ankle injury as he was carried off the floor and eventually taken to Northern Louisiana Medical Center for x-rays and a CT scan.

All tests came back negative as doctors diagnosed it as an ankle sprain.

The Bulldogs leading scorer is questionable for Saturday's contest against FIU. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. inside the Thomas Assembly Center in the second part of a doubleheader.
