BOISE, Idaho - Louisiana Tech (15-2, 3-0) looks to remain undefeated in the Western Athletic Conference when it plays at Boise State (9-7, 0-3) on Monday at 8 p.m. CT.
The Bulldogs enter the contest after winning 77-71 at Idaho on Saturday. LA Tech overcame foul trouble and turnovers to win their eighth-straight game, the most since 2000. Kyle Gibson led all scorers with 28 points, 19 in the second half. Junior DeAndre Brown tied a season-high with 19 points and added four steals. Sophomore Olu Ashaolu joined Brown in double figures with 12 points and nine rebounds.
The Broncos are coming off an 88-85 loss to New Mexico and have lost their last three games. Senior guard Ike Okoye is leading the team in scoring average with 13.7 points and in rebounding as well, with 8.7 per game.
Tech leads the overall series 9-7, but has lost the last three in Boise. The Bulldogs won the last meeting, 76-62 in Ruston, La. as they split last year's two-game series.
