RUSTON - Last season, the Louisiana Tech men's basketball team found itself ranked in the Associated Press top 25 poll at No. 25 for the first time in 28 years.

With 11 returners, including its starting five from the postseason last year, the Bulldogs are off to a 14-3 start after picking up its sixth straight win, an 85-51 victory over FIU.
The team is nationally ranked in several statistical categories, including the top 15 in scoring offense, scoring margin, steals per game, blocks per game and turnover margin.
It was in week 12 last year that LA Tech garnered its first two points in the poll.
The AP Top 25 College Basketball Poll is compiled from votes by 65 sportswriters and broadcasters from across the country.
The Bulldogs continue Conference USA play this Thursday, Jan. 16 as they travel to take on Tulane at 8 p.m. in a game being televised on Cox Sports.
