Louisiana Tech to Travel to Logan to Face the Aggies
LOGAN, Utah -- The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (11-6; 4-0 WAC) are looking to expand their Western Athletic Conference winning streak to five straight games tomorrow night as they travel to Utah State to face the Aggies (11-4; 3-2 WAC) at 8:05 p.m. in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
The Bulldogs are in sole possession of first place in the WAC after upending Boise State, Idaho, Hawaii and Fresno State and are looking to make it five in a row to stay on top.
The Aggies, however, have won 11 straight home games, which is the longest active streak in the WAC and have only lost nine games in their home arena.
Tech is off to its best start since the 2001-02 season, when the Bulldogs made it all the way to the Sweet 16 of the National Invitational Tournament in postseason play.
The Bulldogs are led by junior forward Paul Millsap, who has reclaimed his lead in the NCAA with 12.5 rebounds per game and is averaging 20.8 points per game, while Utah State will look to senior forward Nate Harris and sophomore guard Jaycee Carroll, who are both averaging 17.9 points per game.
The Aggies and the Bulldogs will square off for the first time in school history. Tip-off is set for 8:05 p.m. and can be heard on KXKZ 107.5 FM and by clicking the multimedia link at www.latechsports.com or seen by clicking on the “Live WAC Basketball” link on the same site.
