Bulldogs Pick Up More Points in Both National Polls

RUSTON - After Louisiana Tech picked up a 64-51 win versus UT Arlington to extend their winning streak to 11 games, the Bulldogs picked up more points in both national polls released on Monday.
After LA Tech received eight points in last week's Associated Press Top 25 poll, the 19-3 'Dogs gained 16 more to bump their point total to 24, leaving them at No. 33 ahead of Kentucky who checks in at No. 34 with 21 points.
The Bulldogs also added five more points in the USA Today/Coaches Top 25 poll after receiving one point the previous week.
The AP Top 25 College Basketball Poll is compiled from votes by 65 sportswriters and broadcasters from across the country.
The USA Today Sports Board of Coaches is made up of 31 head coaches at Division I institutions. All are members of the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
Additionally, LA Tech climbed one spot to No. 10 in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll.
The Bulldogs return to Karl Malone Court this week with a pair of home games, the first coming versus UTSA on Thursday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m.
