RUSTON -- The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (4-23; 1-13 WAC) will return home Thursday, March 6, at 7 p.m. to take on the Hawaii Warriors (11-16; 7-7 WAC) in the Thomas Assembly Center in the first of two final homes games of the 2007-08 regular season.
The Bulldogs are coming off a pair of losses to Utah State and Nevada this past weekend, while Hawaii has dropped four straight after beating Utah State 71-66 on Feb. 16.
Tech and Hawaii have already met once this season back in February when the Bulldogs lost the road contest by a final score of 71-57 in the Stan Sherriff Center. Sophomore Kyle Gibson lead Tech scorers with 16 points, while Hawaii was led by Bobby Nash with 16 as well.
Tech has an impressive 9-6 all-time series lead over Hawaii dating back to the 1983-84 season when the Bulldogs beat the Warriors on the road. Since joining the Western Athletic Conference in the 2001-02 season, Tech has won eight of the last 13 meetings and had a streak of six games in a row before Hawaii broke the curse at home last season.
Gibson leads Bulldogs scorers at 16.1 points per game, while senior Matt Gibson leads the Warriors with 16.8 ppg.
Tip off is set for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ESPN 97.7 FM and via the internet at www.espn977.com. A live video feed will be made available at www.latechtv.com.
