March 15, 2015
RUSTON - Louisiana Tech fans wishing to purchase tickets for the Bulldogs home NIT game against Central Michigan on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. can do so immediately as tickets are currently on sale on-line and through the LA Tech Ticket Office.
The game will showcase both the regular season Conference USA champion Bulldogs (25-8) and the regular season Mid-American Conference West Division champion Chippewas (23-8).
Tech will bring a 29-game home winning streak into the contest, the fourth longest current streak in the country. Seniors Speedy Smith, Raheem Appleby and Michale Kyser will be looking for their 100th career win in a Bulldog uniform.
The LA Tech Ticket Office in the Thomas Assembly Center is open tonight until 9 p.m. as fans can call 318-257-3631, come by the office or purchase online at LATechSports.com by Clicking Here .
The Tech Ticket Office will be open Monday and Tuesday from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. Fans are encouraged to purchase their game tickets online for convenience and ease at LATechSports.com.
Reserved seating will be located in the red section of the Thomas Assembly Center while general admission will be located in the blue. All reserved seats will be $15 while general admission will be $10. The first 500 Louisiana Tech students with a current ID can obtain one free ticket from the Tech Ticket Office starting Sunday night while supplies last.
Season ticket holders will have until Monday at 2 p.m. to secure their season ticket locations. Season ticket holders can either stop by the ticket office or go online to their account to purchase their exact tickets.
Fans who purchase their tickets online can also utilize the TicketFast option which offers the ability to print the tickets directly at your home or workplace, thus limiting the need to stop by the ticket office or stand in a will call line on game-day. Fans can select how many tickets they want and then select the TicketFast option to purchase them and print them at home (see PDF of TicketFast Instructions above).
Fans who order tickets via phone or who purchase tickets online without utilizing the TicketFast option can stop by the ticket office to pick them up prior to the TAC doors opening 90 minutes prior to game-time.
Once the Thomas Assembly Center doors open 90 minutes before tipoff, fans who have purchased tickets but who don't have them in hand will have to stand in the will call line.
Central Michigan boasts a high-scoring offense that ranks 3rd in the country in three-point field goals made (10.2), 5th in total three-pointers attempted (841), 15th in the country in points (78.2) and 39th in field goal percentage (46.8).
This will be only the second meeting ever between the two teams. The Bulldogs defeated Central Michigan 104-85 on Jan. 4, 1992 in Ruston.
It also marks the third straight year LA Tech has participated in the NIT as the Bulldogs advanced to the quarterfinals last season with wins over Iona and Georgia. Tech is 10-8 all-time in nine NIT appearances, including a 4-0 record in Ruston.
