RUSTON - Former Louisiana Tech forward Paul Millsap was tabbed as one of the top 20 NBA draft picks of the past 25 years by College Basketball Insider Jeff Goodman in a recent article posted on

Millsap, who was inducted into the Louisiana Tech Athletics Hall of Fame this past October, is ranked as the No. 6 pick by Goodman.

"(Millsap) averaged 16.6 points and 8.8 boards this past season and has been a full-time starter for the Jazz the past two seasons. Terrific get all the way down at No. 47 overall," Goodman writes in the article.

The Utah Jazz power forward was selected with the 47th pick of the 2006 draft by the franchise following a three-year career at Louisiana Tech where Millsap became the first player to ever lead the NCAA in rebounding three straight years.

Goodman tabbed San Antonio guard Manu Ginobili, who was selected 57th overall in the 1999 draft, as the top pick followed by Tony Parker (28th, 2001), Steve Nash (15th, 1996), Kobe Bryant (13th, 1996) and Marc Gasol (48th, 2007).
