RUSTON, La. - Former Louisiana Tech and current Utah Jazz standout Paul Millsap returned to his alma mater Friday, visiting with administration officials and seeing the campus.

The former Grambling Lab and Tech player was named to the Western Athletic Conference's All-Decade team, the former Bulldog was 2003-04 WAC Freshman of the Year and an All-Newcomer team selection. He was a two-time first-team All-WAC honoree, a seven-time WAC Player of the Week, a three-time NCAA rebounding leader and the WAC single-season record holder for rebounds (438) in three seasons at Louisiana Tech.

While on campus, Millsap met with Tech AD Bruce Van De Velde and viewed the basketball facilities.

He is expected to be back in the area as Grambling Lab will honor him with a "Paul Millsap Day" on Aug. 5.

Millsap was in Northern Louisiana to help with a Johnny Simmons Basketball Camp in Farmerville. His work with the camp was chronicled in a recent story in The (Monroe) News-Star.
