Broadcast of Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies Debuts Tuesday Night on CST

RUSTON -- For the 14th consecutive year, Cox Sports Television and the Louisiana Sports Writers Association productions will combine to broadcast the highlights of last month's induction ceremonies of the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame.
The debut broadcast for the show will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12. Other listings this week are Thursday (July 14) at 5 p.m. and Friday (July 15) at 6 p.m.
The hour-long show will focus on the June 25 induction ceremony at the Natchitoches Events Center, including the induction of former Louisiana Tech men's basketball star P.J. Brown.
Brown helped the Bulldogs to four 20-win seasons and four postseason appearances from 1988-92. His collegiate career was followed up by a 15-year career in the NBA where he was a three-time NBA All-Defensive Team member and an NBA Champion with the Boston Celtics in 2008.
The broadcast will also show some of the events that highlight the induction weekend including the Hall of Fame Golf Scramble at Oak Wing in Alexandria sponsored by Cleco; the opening press conference and reception at Maglieaux's presented by La Capitol Federal Credit Union; and, the Saints/Pelicans Junior Training Camp on the Northwestern State campus.
Lyn Rollins, the voice of the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame, and Louisiana television personality Tammi Arender again will host the broadcast along with LSWA Past President Kent Lowe.
Other July showings include: July 18, 8 p.m.; July 19, Noon; July 23, Noon; July 24, 3 p.m.; July 26, Noon; July 29, 1 and 6 p.m.; July 31, 3 p.m. More show dates in August will be announced later this month.
This year's induction ceremony was presented by State Farm Agents of Louisiana.
