Forward Erik McCree Transfers to LA Tech

"Erik has a tremendous upside as a player," said White. "His versatility is his calling card. He possesses forward size with a guard skillset."
As a freshman for the Racers last season, McCree saw action off the bench in 24 games, averaging 1.6 points and 1.9 rebounds per contest.
The 6-foot-8-inch, 215 pound combo forward was a three-star prospect out of West Orange High School in Winter Garden, Fla. where his team compiled a 23-8 record his senior season en route to the regional finals.
He averaged 18 points and seven rebounds per game in his final year as a Warrior which included a game-high 36 points on nine made three pointers.
McCree's team finished sixth in the 19-team Orlando Metro Conference where he earned post-season honors as well as Florida 8A second team all-state accolades.
As a junior, he scored 15 points and pulled down eight rebounds per game on average and shined during tournament play where he was a member of the Fort Meyers Christmas Tournament team and MVP of the Gulf Shores Tournament.
Per NCAA transfer rules, McCree will have to sit out the 2013-14 season and will have three years of eligibility remaining beginning with the 2014-15 season.
