Sept. 13, 2012
DENVER, Colo. - The Western Athletic Conference officially announced today its 2012-13 basketball television schedule, an 11-game slate that includes three home games for Louisiana Tech to be televised on ESPN networks.
The first televised contest for the Bulldogs will be the opening night of conference play on Dec. 29 as the Denver Pioneers come to the Thomas Assembly Center for their first game as a member of the WAC. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. and will be shown on ESPN Regional Television (ERT).
Nearly three weeks later (ERT) will head back to Ruston to televise Tech's home matchup at 7 p.m. versus the Idaho Vandals. Last year's meeting at the TAC between the two schools resulted in an overtime thriller that saw Idaho sneak away with a 90-88 road victory.
The final televised home game will come on Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. versus the Utah State Aggies. This contest will also be shown on ESPN Regional Television (ERT).
In all, four WAC games will be shown on ESPNU and five on ESPN Regional Television (ERT). ERT games will be made available to the markets of the participating teams. In addition, the WAC Tournament men's and women's championship games will be shown on ESPNU.
