Twelve Bulldog League Games to be Televised/Streamed
Oct. 11, 2017
RUSTON – The Conference USA office announced on Wednesday that the Louisiana Tech men’s basketball team will have 12 league games either televised or streamed for the upcoming 2017-18 season.
The 12 games, which represents two-thirds of the conference slate, is the second most of any league team and will feature two nationally-televised contests on CBS Sports Network.
“We are pleased with the national interest in our program and the ability for the Tech Family to follow Bulldog Basketball all season long,” head coach Eric Konkol said. “Whether it be on TV, online, or a mobile device, we are happy that our fans can watch us compete against strong opponents both at the Thomas Assembly Center and in terrific venues on the road.”
CBSSN selected only five league games on its national broadcast channel. The first one for the Bulldogs comes on Jan. 11 at Middle Tennessee at 8 p.m. The second one takes place in Ruston when LA Tech hosts UAB on Feb. 15 with tipoff scheduled for 8 p.m.
The remaining 10 conference matchups will be seen through a combination of beIN, Stadium and ESPN3.
Two of beIN SPORTS 10 games will feature the Bulldogs and will air on national television as well as through beIN SPORTS CONNECT, the network’s digital and mobile streaming device.
The first is the league opener on Dec. 28 at WKU with a tip time of 7 p.m. The second comes on Feb. 8 when LA Tech takes on Charlotte in the Thomas Assembly Center at 7 p.m.
The first conference game in the TAC against UTSA on Jan. 4 will be broadcast by Stadium. The new multi-platform sports network also selected six more Bulldog games to air including at UAB (1/13), vs. North Texas (1/18), at Florida Atlantic (2/1), vs. Old Dominion (2/10), vs. Middle Tennessee (2/17) and at UTEP (2/22).
LA Tech’s road game at Marshall on Dec. 30 will be streamed live on ESPN3.
In addition, the Bulldogs will have four non-conference games broadcasted to bring their nationally-televised/digital-streaming count to 16 for the entire season.
Both contests in the Cancun Challenge on No. 21 and 22 will be nationally-televised on CBS Sports Network. The following contest at Alabama on Nov. 29 will air on a TV network not yet designated.
Also, the Dec. 16 matchup versus Texas in Austin can be seen on the Longhorn Network.
Additional coverage of Bulldog games will be available online through CUSA TV, available exclusively on the league’s official streaming website CUSA.tv.
