The 2013 Oklahoma City All-College Classic will be played on Saturday, Dec. 14 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena when the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys at 1 p.m.

OK State presents a stiff challenge for LA Tech as the Cowboys were ranked as high as No. 13 in the country last season, and are preseason co-favorites along with Kansas to win the Big 12 this season.

The game will be a battle of two very experienced squads. LA Tech returns 11 players, including nine of its top 10 scorers, off a 27-7 team who claimed a conference regular season championship and advanced to the second round of the National Invitation Tournament.

The Cowboys also return four starters, including Big 12 Player of the Year and All-American Marcus Smart.

The Oklahoma City All-College Classic is the world's oldest basketball event, outdating the NCAA, NIT, NAIA and NBA. It was originated and sponsored for 21 years by the Oklahoma Publishing Company. In 1957, the All-College Classic became the major annual project of the Oklahoma City All Sports Association.

Events hosted by the Oklahoma City All Sports Association benefit Oklahoma City by providing quality athletic competition, family entertainment and a boost in the city's economy. At the same time, the events garner widespread attention and attract visitors from around the globe to Oklahoma City, which provides $30-70 million in new money for Oklahoma City's economy each year.
