Bulldogs Receive Points in Preseason AP Top 25 Poll
Oct. 31, 2014
RUSTON - With tipoff just two weeks away, the Louisiana Tech men's basketball continues to garner preseason national recognition as they received nine points in the first Associated Press Top 25 poll released today.
The nine points slots them in the 37th spot between 2014-15 opponent North Carolina State who had 14 and in-state foe LSU who picked up eight.
It is one point more than what LA Tech received in the preseason USA Today Coaches poll released on Oct. 16.
The Bulldogs will conduct their 21st practice today in preparation for the season opener which is on Nov. 14 at Southern.
The AP Top 25 College Basketball Poll is compiled from votes by 65 sportswriters and broadcasters from across the country.
The top 25 teams in The Associated Press' college basketball poll, with first-place votes noted in parentheses, are determined by a points system. A team receives 25 points for a first-place vote, 24 points for a second-place vote and so on through one point for a 25th-place vote and previous ranking.
Season tickets are still available by contacting the LA Tech Ticket Office by phone at (318) 257-3631 or by email at email@example.com.
