Dec. 31, 2013
RUSTON - The Louisiana Tech men's basketball game versus Longwood this Saturday, Jan. 4, inside the Thomas Assembly Center will now tip off at 4 p.m.
The game time change was made to accommodate fans wanting to attend LA Tech's last nonconference game of the season and make it home in time to watch New Orleans opening round playoff game.
The contest was originally scheduled for 6 p.m. which would have carried over into the start of the nationally-televised Saints-Eagles wild card game.
Fans are encouraged to come out to the TAC to watch the Bulldogs who are coming off a thrilling overtime upset of the Oklahoma Sooners.
LA Tech is now 11-3 on the season and has won five of its last six games.
All parties involved, including the opponent and officials, agreed to the new tipoff time.
The matchup will be broadcast live on the LA Tech Sports Network on KXKZ 107.5 FM and KJVC 92.7 FM. The "Voice of the Bulldogs" Dave Nitz will do play-by-play while Jack Thigpen provides analysis with pregame starting at 3:30 p.m.
