Former Tech deep snapper Thomas Graham was named a defensive graduate assistant coach in March 2011.
During his first year on staff Graham assisted the defensive coaches, specifically helping with Spangler's safeties. Tech's opportunistic defense was third in interceptions and in pick-sixes during the 2011 campaign and was the program's best scoring defense in two decades as the Bulldogs rattled off seven consecutive wins to claim its first Western Athletic Conference championship in a decade.
A four-year letterwinner at Louisiana Tech, Graham followed in his older brother Matt's footsteps during his four years where he started every game of his career as the Bulldogs' deep snapper, setting a new LA Tech career record for games played and started with 50.
After red-shirting in 2005 while his brother Matt finished his four-year career as the Tech deep snapper, Graham started all 50 games over the last four years, including the 2008 Independence Bowl victory over Northern Illinois.
In addition to the bowl victory, a couple of Graham's career highlights included recovering a fumble against Top 25 Boise State as a freshman and earning the LA Tech special teams player of the week award against Kansas as a junior.
Graham played three years for coaches Tommy Reeder and Billy Laird at Ruston High School where he earned all-state honorable mention honors his final two seasons.
His younger brother, Gantt, works as a student equipment manager.
