Started and played in all 13 games in his only season at Louisiana Tech, leading the Bulldogs to a win in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl over Arkansas State.

2015: Named the Conference USA and Louisiana Newcomer of the Year ... Named First Team All-Louisiana and received Honorable Mention All-Conference USA honors ... Threw for 4,033 yards to rank third in school history over the course of the season with 27 passing touchdowns (ranking eighth) with only eight interceptions as he was 281-for-450 passing ... Passed for 274 yards in a 12-for-15 performance and tied a career-high with four touchdowns, while also rushing for 15 yards and a rushing touchdown in his first appearance at LA Tech against Southern (9/5) ... Completed 20-of-30 passes in a constant rain for 301 yards and two touchdowns while carrying the ball five time for 44 yards against Middle Tennessee (10/24) ... Completed 17 of 26 passes for 320 yards and a career high four touchdowns against Rice (10/30) ... Completed 17-of-26 pass attempts for 296 yards against North Texas (11/7) ... Completed 13-of-22 pass attempts for 188 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing the ball six times for 342 yards against UTEP (11/21) ... Passed for an R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl record 458 yards in a 26-for-38 performance with three touchdowns with a NOLA Bowl record 71-yard long pass in a 47-28 win over Arkansas State (12/19).

2014 (Florida): Played in nine games and made six starts at quarterback, throwing for 1,140 yards with nine touchdowns on the season...Also had 180 rushing yards and four scores on the ground...Threw for a career-high 295 yards with three touchdowns in the win over Kentucky...Also threw for three scores against Eastern Kentucky, completing 9-of-11 passes for 164 yards, when he entered in relief of the injured Treon Harris...Led the team with 59 rushing yards and a touchdown at Alabama...Also led the team in rushing against LSU, totaling 71 yards on 21 carries...Completed a career-high 31 passes in the season opener against Eastern Michigan.

2013 (Florida): Started three games before suffering a season-ending fracture in his leg...Threw for 477 yards completing 42-of-63 passes in his limited action...Had career highs of attempts (33), completions (22) and passing yards (291) at Miami in week two...Suffered the injury in the first half of the game against Tennessee...Named a captain for the Toledo and Miami games.

2012 (Florida): Started 12 games for the Gators, 11 at quarterback...Completed 156-of-245 passes for 1,646 yards with 12 touchdowns and five interceptions on the year...Also ran 118 times for 408 yards (3.5 avg) on the season with three touchdowns...His 408 rushing yards rank seventh in school history by a quarterback for a single season...Was second on the team in rushing...Threw a 75-yard touchdown pass to Frankie Hammond at Tennessee for the longest pass of his career...Had a passer rating of 195.0 in Knoxville, the highest for a UF quarterback on the road in a conference game since Tim Tebow had a 202.7 rating at Kentucky in 2007...Was named the SEC Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts against the Volunteers...Rushed 11 times for a career-high 177 yards and three touchdowns at Vanderbilt...The 177 yards rushing is a school record by a Gator quarterback, surpassing Tim Tebow's mark of 166 yards at Ole Miss in 2007...Threw for a career-best four touchdowns against South Carolina and was the only FBS player in 2012 to have four touchdown passes and throw for less than 100 yards in the same game...Completed a pass to 10 different receivers against Kentucky...In his first career start at quarterback at Texas AaM, he was 13-of-16 passing for 162 yards and did not turn the ball over...Made his first career start against Bowling Green, lining up at wide receiver then proceeded to play the rest of the game at quarterback...Missed the Jacksonville State game due to injury.

2011 (Florida): Saw action in five games as a true freshman quarterback...Completed 16-of-34 passes for 148 yards to own a 71.86 efficiency rating throughout his freshman campaign...Went 2-for-6 for 14 yards in the air against Alabama, and added a 31-yard run, the longest rush against the Crimson Tide in 2011...Played the entire second half at Auburn, throwing a season-long 22 yard pass to Chris Rainey on the last drive of the game...Made his Gator debut in the season opener against FAU and his SEC debut against Kentucky...Completed 4-of-6 passes for 42 yards in his first collegiate football game against the Owls for a 92.13 efficiency rating...Enrolled at UF in January of 2011.

High School: Maxwell Football Club National High School Player of the Year...Gatorade Florida Player of the Year...Rated the No. 1 quarterback nationally according to Scout.com and Rivals.com...Threw for a career 4,844 passing yards and 36 touchdowns and helped lead the Huskies to their first winning season in their fourth year as a varsity program...Had 1,819 yards and 15 touchdowns passing, 1,333 rushing yards with 20 touchdowns and caught two touchdown passes his senior year...Threw for 1,427 yards with 11 touchdowns and ran for 170 yards with five touchdowns his junior year...Participated in the Under Armour High School All-American Game in 2011...Chose Florida out of high school over Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Ole Miss and Clemson, among others...Coached by Nate Gierke.
