Hunter McWilliams

Hunter McWilliams joined the Louisiana Tech staff in 2010 and beginning with the 2012 season he moved over to the coaching side as a graduate assistant coach.

When he first joined the program, McWilliams was in charge of operations for the football team as well as assisting Sonny Dykes with special projects related to the football program.

McWilliams comes to Louisiana Tech after spending the last three years as a financial advisor for Eltekon Financial in Austin, Texas and previously worked as a fishing guide for Discovery Land Company.

During 2009, McWilliams worked as a private deep snapper coach and was an assistant coach for Westlake Pop Warner football.

A two-year starter at deep snapper for the University of Texas (1999-2000), McWilliams converted 100 percent of his snaps and lettered both years as a walk-on. He received his degree in government from the University of Texas.

McWilliams is the son of David McWilliams, former head football coach of Texas and Texas Tech. He married the former Catherine Wagner in 2011.
