POST-GAME NOTES
• Louisiana Tech captains were Teddy Veal, Jarred Craft, Secdrick Cooper, Deldrick Canty and Jonathan Barnes.
• Announced attendance: 16,223.
• Louisiana Tech won the coin toss and elected to defer to the second half.
• With the 23-22 victory, LA Tech now leads the all-time series, 5-3, over WKU. The win marked the first-ever triumph for Tech in Bowling Green.
• This marked the fourth straight year the Bulldogs began conference play on the road. They are now 2-2 in such games. The last victory in a league opener was 2014 at North Texas.
• The win for LA Tech snapped a 15-game conference winning streak at home for the Hilltoppers.

OFFENSE
Ethan Reed and Jarred Craft each made their 17th straight start.
• Guard O'Shea Dugas made his 26th start as a Bulldog, the most on the team.
• Quarterback J'Mar Smith was 22-39 for a career-high 306 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
• Running back Jarred Craft led the Bulldogs on the ground with 14 rushing attempts for 81 yards. • Wide receiver Kam McKnight rushed for a touchdown for the second-straight game, giving him nine rushing touchdowns for his career (on just 18 career attempts).
• Wide receiver Rhashid Bonnette had a game and career-high 140 receiving yards on just three catches.
• Wide receiverTeddy Veal notched a team-high/career-high nine catches for 78 yards, including a key 18-yard reception on LA Tech's game-winning drive.
J'Mar Smith connected with Rhashid Bonnette for an 87-yard TD pass with 6:28 left in the second quarter -- the longest reception of Bonnette's career and the ninth-longest pass play in LA Tech history.
J'Mar Smith is now the first LA Tech quarterback in program history to throw multiple 85+ yard TD passes in a career (threw an 89-yard pass last season to DeJuawn Oliver).
Kam McKnight took a handoff out of the T-Bone formation and walked untouched into the end zone, drawing Tech to within two (22-20) with 2:06 left in the fourth quarter.

DEFENSE
Jaylon Ferguson made his 17th consecutive start.
• Three Bulldogs tied for the team-lead in tackles with nine - Secdrick Cooper, Aaron Roberson and Brandon Durman.
• Durman and Roberson both set new career highs for tackles in a game.
Jaylon Ferguson ended the evening with two sacks. His new career total of 22.5 moved him into second place in the LA Tech record books, just ahead of Matt Broha's career total of 22.
• The Bulldogs registered four sacks on WKU quarterback Mike White. Brandon Durman and Jordan Bradford each had a sack, giving both players two total for the season.
• The Tech defense held WKU to just 18 yards on 15 plays in the fourth quarter.

SPECIAL TEAMS
Jonathan Barnes drove home three FG's in the contest (33, 36, 21), including the game-winner -- a 21-yard chip shot with two seconds left in the game.
• Barnes' 62 career made field goals are two shy of tying him with Matt Stover (64) for second place in the LA Tech record books.
Brady Farlow punted six times on the evening, with an average of 36.7 yards per punt, and posting a new career-long punt of 50 yards.
