New Mexico State is the fifth consecutive opponent to not score on its opening drive against Louisiana Tech.

Andrew Guillot's touchdown reception in the first quarter marked his first career touchdown reception. He became the 13th different Tech player to reach the end zone this season.

Chad Boyd recorded his third interception of the season.

Lennon Creer recorded 59 yards rushing on five carries in the first quarter. He had 56 yards rushing in the entire game against Fresno State last week.

Jacarri Jackson's 41-yard reception late in the second quarter marked a career long catch for the redshirt freshman.

Louisiana Tech's 83-yard touchdown drive in the second quarter marked the third-longest scoring drive this season (in terms of yards).

New Mexico State's Boyblue Aoelua returned a Ross Jenkins interception 41 yards for a touchdown marking the first time a Louisiana Tech opponent has returned an interception for a touchdown since Marquis Powell of Southeastern Louisiana did so on Sept. 20, 2008 (51 yards).

Javontay Crowe recorded his first career interception, picking off Manley's pass in the third quarter and running it back seven yards.

Phillip Livas' 62-yard reverse run for a touchdown marked the longest running play of the year for Louisiana Tech and the longest touchdown play of the season except for his 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown last week against Fresno State.
