RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech honored its 2011 WAC Championship football team Friday evening as part of the program's annual year-end banquet.

The team's championship trophy and the Ray Guy Award trophy were on display for all to view (and to take pictures with) and several team awards were handed out.

Special guests Fred Dean and Karl Malone were on hand to help present awards, namely the Fred Dean Defensive Player of the Year and the Karl Malone Strength & Conditioning Award, respectively.

Louisiana Tech University President Dr. Dan Reneau and athletics director Bruce Van De Velde spoke about the bright future of the Bulldog Football team and Louisiana Tech University.

In addition to the team award winners, members of the All-WAC teams were recognized along with WAC Defensive Player of the Year Adrien Cole and WAC Coach of the Year Sonny Dykes.
