Louisiana Tech Inks WR Jon Greenwalt to NLI

RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech head coach Sonny Dykes announced the signing of wide receiver Jon Greenwalt from Riverside CC to a National Letter of Intent Friday afternoon.

Greenwalt will come to Ruston have two years at Riverside CC in California where he recorded 952 receiving yards in two years while his team went 21-1 over that two-year span.

A 6-3, 200-pound receiver, Greenwalt hails from Elsinore High School in Wildomar, Calif., where he was a multi-sport star in football, basketball and track. He received all-conference honors in all three sports and set the school’s long jump record at 22-11.5 his senior year. His school’s football team went 8-3 during his senior campaign.

Greenwalt, who has a twin brother named Richard, is expected to join the program in time for spring practice. He marks the second JuCo signee of this year’s class along with offensive lineman Alec Davis.
