MOBILE, Ala. - Louisiana Tech's D'Anthony Smith will be participating in the 2010 Under Armour Senior Bowl after his All-WAC season garnered national attention and NFL scouts from across the country. The game, held at Mobile's Ladd-Peebles Stadium, kicks off Saturday at 3 p.m. and will be televised on the NFL Network.

Smith, who graduated from Louisiana Tech after the fall quarter in 2009, was named First Team All-WAC for the second consecutive season. He finished his career at Louisiana Tech tied for sixth in school history with 12.0 career sacks and he concluded the 2009 season as the national leader in assisted sacks among active players.

The only other Louisiana school to have a player invited to the Senior Bowl is LSU with two players on the South Team roster.

The Pickering, La. native is spending the week in practices and drills with many of the week's events, including the game, being televised by the NFL Network. The Detroit Lions coaching staff is coaching Smith's North team while the Miami Dolphins coaching staff is guiding the opposing South team.
