RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech football coach Derek Dooley has added Jimmy Brumbaugh to his coaching staff. Braumbaugh will serve as the defensive line coach for the Bulldogs after spending the last two years as the assistant strength and conditioning coordinator for LSU. "Jimmy comes highly recommended and is an excellent teacher of the fundamentals of defensive line play," Dooley said. "He has an ability to connect and develop young men not only in football but also on a personal level. He will be a great fit for our program." Brumbaugh previously coached defensive line at Tennessee-Chattanooga during the 2005 season. Before coaching at Chattanooga, Brumbaugh was a member of the 2004 coaching staff at Jacksonville State, which won the Ohio Valley Conference. An All-SEC defensive lineman at Auburn, Brumbaugh signed with the San Francisco 49ers out of college and played professionally in the XFL, AFL and AFL2 before joining the coaching ranks.
