LA Tech Football Spring Game Highlights Loyal Blue Weekend

RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech fans will have the opportunity to get a glimpse of the 2018 Bulldog Football team in a few weeks as the LA Tech Spring Game presented by Dairy Queen is set for Saturday, April 14 and will highlight Loyal Blue Weekend in Ruston.

All fans, students and alumni are encouraged to wear blue and enjoy free admission to the spring game for a preview of the 2018 football team. The 2018 LA Tech Football Spring Game presented by Dairy Queen is set to begin at noon on Saturday, April 14 at Joe Aillet Stadium and will serve as the last of 15 spring sessions for the Bulldogs.

In addition to the Bulldogs being in action on the gridiron, several other Louisiana Tech sporting events will highlight the action-packed weekend in Ruston.

LA Tech’s baseball team is set to host a three-game Conference USA series versus Charlotte beginning Friday, April 13 at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park. The Bulldogs open the series at 6 p.m. Friday, while the second game is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday and the finale at 1 p.m. on Sunday. The Lady Techster Softball team is also in action the weekend of April 14 as LA Tech hosts UTSA in a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. that Saturday before wrapping up the three-game conference series at 1 p.m. on Sunday in Ruston.

Louisiana Tech will hold its Bradshaw-Brooks Golf Tournament April 12-13 at Squire Creek Country Club as two of the University’s favorite sons, Terry Bradshaw and Kix Brooks, plan to be in attendance. This event, which is held annually to help raise funds for LTAC, will include a dinner and auction on Thursday night beginning at 6:30 p.m. Two flights of a scramble golf tournament will be at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Friday.

Tickets to the dinner can only be secured by purchasing a spot in the golf outing on Friday. Tickets for the Bradshaw-Brooks Golf Tournament are still available and can be purchased by visiting or contacting Camille Lott at 318-295-4919.
