Bulldogs To Conduct Intra-Squad Scrimmage
RUSTON - Louisiana Tech will wrap up its second full week of spring practice Saturday morning with an intra-squad scrimmage at 9 a.m. at Joe Aillet Stadium.
Head coach Jack Bicknell and Co. still have one full week left before the Spring Game which is schedule for April 12 at 5 p.m.
The Bulldog defense had been dominating spring practice until Wednesday evening when the Tech offense scored three touchdowns and added two field goals in nine offensive series during another scrimmage.
"The teams attitude has been great the entire spring," Bicknell said. "You can tell these guys are hungry and are not happy with the way last season went. I'm pleased with the leadership that has been shown thus far. We just have to continue to work hard and get a good look at some of these younger guys."
One of the position battles going on right now is at running back where senior Ralph Davis, junior Danny Wilson and sophomore Ryan Moats are all making a case for themselves. Davis saw his first spring action Wednesday when he scored two touchdowns while both Moats and Wilson have been impressive as well.
Saturday mornings scrimmage is open to the public and should last approximately 90 minutes to two hours.
