Bulldogs Focus on Teamwork on Day 12
April 7, 2009
RUSTON--There are only two more practices left before the Louisiana Tech T-Day Spring Game and head coach Derek Dooley believes now is the time for the players to really hone in on their goals for the spring.
"With only two practices left it's a real important time to do a self evaluation of what have I improved on to this point and what can I make improvements on with only two to three more days of work," Dooley said. "Now is the time to focus your energy on your goals you set at the beginning of spring."
Although the Bulldogs will be split up into two teams this Saturday for the Spring Game, Dooley says its important for the players to remember they are all still team mates and must still work together in practice.
"Now is also the time to evaluate what kind of team mate haveI been and how can I be a better team mate," Dooley said. "So this is kind of our emphasis going into the last week. It's real easy to kind of get bored and hurry up and get spring practice over with which makes it real important for the guys to reset their goals for the final week so that they get something out of it as a player and as a team."
After practice today the team's seniors split up into two teams and held a draft to put together the rest of their team for the T-Day Spring Game April 11 at 1 p.m. Check back with www.latechsports.com to find out who the seniors drafted.
Tech returns to practice Wednesday afternoon for the thirteenth practice of the spring football season.
