Tech Football Completes Final Day of Pads
April 8, 2009
RUSTON--The Louisiana Tech football team practiced in full pads for the final time Wednesday before the Spring Game this Saturday.
"This was our last really work day in pads," Head coach Derek Dooley said. "I think the players are ready to play. Tomorrow we'll have a little polish practice with helmets to get organized for the spring game."
Tomorrow the Bulldogs will split up into the two teams that were selected by the seniors on Tuesday to go over the offensive and defensive schemes that are being prepared for the Spring Game.
With thirteen days of spring practice behind them, Dooley believes it has been a very successful spring for his football team.
"We've gotten thirteen good practices in," Dooley said. "I feel like we've made some great strides in a lot of areas and we made a lot of improvements over a period of thirteen practices, not to say that we don't have a lot to work on, but I think we accomplished what spring practice is for."
Tech returns to practice Thursday as the Bulldogs continue preparations for the T-Day Spring Game April 11 at 1 p.m.
