RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech will wrap up the 2014 spring football schedule with the annual T-Day Spring Game Saturday at 1 p.m. with gates of Joe Aillet Stadium (northwest gates only) opening at 11 a.m.

This year's T-Day Spring Game will be more than just a scrimmage; the coaching staff has divided into two camps with defensive coordinator Manny Diaz leading the RED Team and offensive coordinator Tony Petersen running the BLUE Team. The losing team will hold a car wash with all monies raised going to charity. The coaches drafted their teams Thursday.

The events surrounding the T-Day Spring Game will start at 9 a.m. with the Nick Brown Show broadcasting LIVE from the South End Zone of Joe Aillet Stadium on ESPN Radio 97.7 FM. The show will be packed with guests from Louisiana Tech and will run until 11 a.m. when the gates of the stadium will open.

Also at 11 a.m., the Louisiana Tech Alumni Association and LTAC will host a tailgate at Argent Pavilion exclusively for members of the Alumni Association and LTAC and their families.

Once the gates of Joe Aillet Stadium are open, fans can take advantage of the Team Shop and Kids Zone on the West concourse with face painting for kids available with the cheerleaders and Regal Blues. Open seats on the west side of the stadium will be marked and fans can select their season tickets seats by taking the voucher to the Ticket Office table set up on the West concourse.

At halftime of the T-Day Spring Game, the south end zone will hold a ceremonial groundbreaking for the new addition to the south end zone project. As part of the Quest for Excellence campaign, the new South End Zone building will be a 70,000-square-foot-plus facility that will include a premium club area. Tickets for that area went on sale Friday.

In addition to the special guests on hand for the ceremonial groundbreaking, Louisiana Tech's No. 1 fan Cael Carmichael is in town and will be in attendance at the T-Day Spring Game. Carmichael was one of the Make-A-Wish kids the team bonded with at the 2011 Poinsettia Bowl. For an update on his journey, fans can follow his Facebook page
