RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech’s football program will host a car wash Wednesday, June 11 at the Chevron Car Wash on Tech Drive with all donations raised going towards the Boys & Girls Club of North Central Louisiana.
Football student-athletes on the Blue Team from the 2014 T-Day Spring Game – losers of this year’s spring game by a 37-20 decision – will be washing cars for donations from the public. Those team members will also be washing the cars of the winning Red Team members.
The car wash will run from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the Chevron Car Wash located at 1006 Tech Drive in Ruston with ESPN Radio’s Bayou Sportsline broadcasting live during the car wash on 97.7 FM.
All proceeds from the car wash will go towards the Boys & Girls Club of North Central Louisiana, which helps youth become responsible, caring citizens and acquire skills for participating in the democratic process. They also develop leadership skills and provide opportunities for planning, decision-making, contributing to Club and community and celebrating our national heritage.
Louisiana Tech opens the season on Aug. 30 at Oklahoma as the Bulldogs kickoff the second year under head coach Skip Holtz.
The Bulldogs first home game is set for Sept. 20 as Tech will host Northwestern State at Joe Aillet Stadium at 6 p.m.
