RUSTON - Louisiana Tech fans can now purchase tickets to the Heart of Dallas Classic as all remaining seats opened to the general public Monday for the Bulldog's Sept. 28 match-up against Army which is set for the Cotton Bowl in Texas.
The contest will kickoff at 2:30 p.m. at the Cotton Bowl and will be televised on a FOX Sports Network in the second ever meeting between the Bulldogs and the Black Knights on the gridiron.
The game will be billed as Veteran's Appreciation Day and also surrounds the opening weekend of the State Fair of Texas. The Fair is a 24-day showcase of entertainment, exhibits and competition presented in Dallas each fall in historic Fair Park, a 277-acre complex recognized for its beautiful landscaping and unique collection of art deco architecture. Individuals purchasing a ticket to the LA Tech-Army game will receive free admission to the fair on the day of the game (a $17 value).
All chair back seats have been sold out but club level ($120), red sideline ($35), green sideline ($25) and general admission ($20) tickets are still available. Current Louisiana Tech students with a valid ID can purchase tickets in any of the available sections which will include a $5 discount on the regular ticket price (except for the general admission ticket price which will remain $20).
To purchase tickets, call the Tech Ticket Office at 318-257-3631. Go to www.LATechSports.com and access the football tickets link to view the seating map of the Cotton Bowl. Season tickets for the Bulldogs five-game slate at Joe Aillet Stadium are also on sale.
