RUSTON - Louisiana Tech officials announced Thursday that the Bulldogs Sept. 13 game against Michigan State in East Lansing will be televised on ESPN Regional as well as Cox Sports Television in Louisiana.
Head coach Jack Bicknell's squad opens the season Aug. 28 in a nationally televised game against the five-time national champion Miami Hurricanes and former Shreveport native and starting Miami quarterback Brock Berlin at Independence Stadium in Shreveport.
Two weeks later, Tech travels to Spartan Stadium to face Big 10 foe Michigan State in the first meeting ever between the two programs on the gridiron. The contest is set to kickoff at 11:10 a.m. CST.
Michigan State returns 16 starters from last year's team that produced a 4-8 record and finished tied for eighth in the Big 10 with a 2-6 league mark. First year head coach John Smith's squad faces Louisiana Tech a week after hosting Rutgers and a week before traveling to Notre Dame.
Louisiana Tech opens fall practice Aug. 4 in preparation for its season opener.
