ESPN ranks LA Tech-Texas A&M as No. 8 game of 2012

BRISTOL, Conn. - Louisiana Tech's football game with Texas A&M at Shreveport's Independence Stadium last year ranks No. 8 on ESPN's top 25 games of 2012. Texas A&M won the game, 59-57.

ESPNU will air an 11-day marathon of games within the list starting with No. 25 on Wednesday, July 17, Nebraska vs. Northwestern.

The order of the Top 5 games will be decided by fans through a SportsNation poll on ESPN.com.

An ESPN stats & info team, led by ESPN college football research analyst Brad Edwards, determined No.25-6 to be as follows:

25.   Nebraska vs. Northwestern (game highlight)

24.   BYU vs. Utah (game highlight)

23.   Stanford vs. Arizona

22.   Ole Miss vs. LSU (post game presser - Les Miles)

21.   Texas vs. Oklahoma State

20.   North Carolina State vs. Miami (game highlight)

19.   Gildan New Mexico Bowl:  Nevada vs. Arizona  (game highlight)

18.   Oklahoma vs. West Virginia
