RUSTON - With the season opener against Grambling State this Saturday, fans are reminded that tickets for the inaugural Port City Classic at Independence Stadium in Shreveport are still on sale.

Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.

Fans can purchase tickets for the game through the Louisiana Tech Ticket Office by logging onto www.latechsports.com, emailing techtickets@latech.edu or calling 318-257-3631.

All tickets ordered now can be picked up at the Tech Ticket Office located in the Thomas Assembly Center or at Will-Call at Independence Stadium on gameday starting at 10 a.m.

Tickets are also on sale at numerous locations in the Shreveport/Bossier City market including all Super One Foods locations as well as the Independence Bowl Box Office.

The Louisiana Tech ticket booth on the northeast side of Independence Stadium will open at 11 a.m. on game-day but fans are reminded that tickets bought the day of the game will be $3 more than if pre-bought. Tickets purchased on game day can only be purchased with cash at the ticket booths.

The Louisiana Tech player-guest pass gate will be located on the west side of Independence Stadium and will open two hours before kickoff.

All parking accommodations for the game are being handled through the State Fair of Louisiana as fans can call 318-635-1361 or email info@statefairoflouisiana.com.

Parking passes for the game starts as low at $10 while a limited number of tailgating spaces around the fairgrounds and stadium are still available and start at $25. Fans are reminded that tailgating is only allowed in the designated tailgating locations.

No shuttle service will be provided for the game.

Fans are reminded that the following items will not be allowed into the stadium on game-day (gates will open at 3:30 p.m.): outside food or drink, ice chests, umbrellas, video cameras, oversize bags, weapons of any kind including pocketknives or pocket tools. All bags are subject to search.

The Louisiana Tech Alumni Association and the Louisiana Tech Athletic Club (LTAC) will be sponsoring a tailgating party from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Round Up Room/Steak House located adjacent to Hirsch Coliseum. Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door as the menu includes hamburgers, hot dogs, homemade chips, baked beans and iced tea as well as a cash bar. Children 10 and under are admitted for free.
