Moats Sixth in ESPN.com Heisman Poll

RUSTON - After back to back 257-yard rushing performances, the national media is starting to take notice of Louisiana Tech junior running back Ryan Moats.

The 5-foot-9-inch, 205-pounder is No. 6 in this week's ESPN.com Heisman Trophy Poll which is voted on by ESPN college football experts to provide a definitive look at the race for the Heisman.

Moats received one first place vote among 12 voters and his five points placed him sixth, trailing USC's Matt Leinart (55 points), Oklahoma's Jason White (35 points), Purdue's Kyle Orton (29 points), Texas' Cedric Benson (28 points) and Georgia's David Greene (six points).

The junior from Dallas, Texas, has rushed for 514 yards in only two games and is currently the nation's leading rusher with a 35 yard per game advantage over the next closest competitor.
