Open Letter from Coach Dooley
Sept. 28, 2009
Dear Bulldog Fans,
On Wednesday, September 30th at 7 p.m. our team will face Hawaii before a nationally televised audience on ESPN2. The game will be brought to over 97 million homes, and the top ESPN broadcasting crew of Rece Davis, Mark May and Lou Holtz will be in Ruston on the campus of Louisiana Tech to announce the game.
This will be the only football game played that night, and every sports fan around the country will tune in at some point during the broadcast.
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! This is a tremendous opportunity to showcase our University and our athletic program to the community, the state, and most importantly the nation.
COME TO THE GAME and pack Joe Aillet Stadium in a SEA OF RED! It is our chance to show the nation that the state of Louisiana is more than just one big name program.
With over 66,000 living alumni and multitude of fans supporting the Bulldogs we have the foundation to make Louisiana Tech a nationally recognized University, and there is no greater window for that than ESPN.
Of course, I expect our team to do their part by competing with the kind of spirit, effort and aggressiveness that will represent you and this institution with dignity and class. I look forward to seeing you in the stadium this Wednesday night.
Head Football Coach
