LA Tech Returns Home to Host South Alabama

Sept. 29, 2017

RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech returns home from a two-game road trip as the Bulldogs host South Alabama at 6 p.m. Saturday in non-conference action at Joe Aillet Stadium in Ruston. It will mark the first meeting on the gridiron for the two programs.

The game between LA Tech and South Alabama is set to kick off at 6 p.m. CT Saturday evening and will air on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app with Doug Anderson (play-by-play), Butch Alsander (analysis) and Abby Morris (sideline) calling all the action from Joe Aillet Stadium.

"What is really important for us as a team is to move forward to South Alabama this week and we have the opportunity to come back and play at home," head coach Skip Holtz said. "We have to make sure [the South Carolina] game doesn't beat us twice. It is going to be a great challenge for us at home to come back from that loss, but I am glad we have the opportunity to play at home. We need to come back and play in front of our home crowd, be at Joe Aillet Stadium and have the comforts of home on our side to help us this week."

Louisiana Tech enters the weekend 2-2 on the season after a tough one-point loss on the road last weekend at SEC opponent South Carolina. South Alabama is coming off a double-overtime loss at home to Sun Belt foe Idaho, while the Jaguars have posted a 1-3 overall record on the season with a win over Alabama A&M and losses to Ole Miss, Oklahoma State and Idaho.
