City of Shreveport Providing Free Shuttle Service Saturday

Oct. 12, 2012

SHREVEPORT, La. - Fans attending Saturday night’s clash between No. 22 Texas A&M and No. 23 Louisiana Tech can look forward to a nice bonus, courtesy of the City of Shreveport – free shuttle service to the game.

With attendance likely to exceed 40,000 for the much-anticipated football game, Mayor Cedric Glover directed his staff to secure shuttle buses to ease traffic congestion and make the overall game day experience more convenient for fans.

The buses will pick up at Pierre-Bossier Mall beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday and will periodically travel back and forth to Independence Stadium. The service is expected to wrap up about 30 minutes after the game ends. Kickoff for the nationally televised contest is 8 p.m.

The loading area will be on the north side of Pierre-Bossier Mall (food court) and will be clearly marked.
