RUSTON -- Saturday's Western Athletic Conference football contest between Louisiana Tech and Idaho is being tabbed as Heroes Game as the University and its athletic department will honor members of the military, police and fire.

The game is set for a 6:05 p.m. kickoff at Joe Aillet Stadium and is LA Tech's first home game in a month.

Tech marketing director Leah Beasley said that all military, police and firefighters will be admitted to the game free of charge as a gesture of appreciation for their service to the community and nation. Ticket booths open at 3 p.m. and gates to the stadium open at 4:30 p.m.

Beasley said that those individuals would need to go by one of the ticket booths outside the stadium on game day and show their military ID or badge to pick up a free game ticket.

Other activities surrounding Heroes game include a B-52 flyover, and military tailgating sponsored by the National Guard and Air Force ROTC on the hill on the west side of the stadium.

The military tailgating area will also include military vehicles on display, a rock wall and limited giveaways. All fans are invited to attend.
