Bulldogs Stay Steady in the Polls
Nov. 11, 2012
RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech remained No. 19 in the Associated Press poll and No. 20 in the BCS Standings and dropped one spot to No. 19 in the USA Today/Coaches Poll following the team’s 62-55 win at Texas State in San Marcos.
Tech remained No. 19 in the AP poll despite gaining an additional 19 votes from last week’s poll. The Bulldogs are one spot behind an 8-2 Texas team that was tied for 19th with the Bulldogs last week.
Louisiana Tech dropped one spot to No. 19 in the USA Today/Coaches Poll and is one spot behind a 9-1 Louisville team that recently lost by 19 points at an unranked Syracuse team.
While LA Tech stayed at No. 20 in the BCS Standings, the Bulldogs made a sharp increase in its poll percentage average rising from .1584 to .1911. Most of that rise was attributed to a jump in the various computer rankings of the Bulldogs with Tech’s average rising from 30th to 25th.
Louisiana Tech hosts its final home game on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 3 p.m. at Joe Aillet Stadium as the Bulldogs face Utah State.
