RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech head football coach Skip Holtz has announced the addition of two football players to the team with Sanford Seay and Kirby Wixson having already enrolled in school for the winter quarter.

Having already enrolled in school, the pair will be available for spring practice.

Seay is a wide receiver that sat out the 2013 season at Itawamba Community College due to an injury. A native of Leesburg, Ga., he will be a redshirt junior for the 2014 season after redshirting his 2011 season at Georgia. In 2012, he transferred to Itawamba and was fourth on the team in receptions with 27 catches for 377 yards and three touchdowns. He will have two years to play two seasons as a redshirt junior next fall.

Wixson has enrolled at LA Tech after spending two years on the offensive line at Hinds Community College where he was named to the JCGridiron.com Preseason Interior Offensive Line Watch List. He led Hinds to a 7-3 mark this last season with an appearance in the Brazos Valley Bowl with an offense that was ranked 16th in the nation in yards per game (421.6) and points per game (35.2). He will have three years in which to play two seasons as a junior next fall.

The primary National Signing Day will be on Feb. 5, 2014 when Louisiana Tech will announce its full signing class. Any additional junior college signees will be announced once the University has received their National Letters of Intent.
