MADISON, Miss. - Louisiana Tech freshman Victor Lange shot a third round total of three-under-par 69 to finish tied for 10th at the 2013 BancorpSouth Intercollegiate hosted by Ole Miss at the Reunion Golf and Country Club Monday and Tuesday.
Lange shot a three-round total of 215 (72-74-69) to tie for 10th place out of 75 competitors at the 14-team event as the Bulldogs finished 11th in the team competition.
After a tough opening day that saw LA Tech shoot a two-round team total of 28-over-par 604 (301-303) and sit in 13th place, the Bulldogs rebounded on the final day and shot four-over-par 292 - moving up two spots.
"Victor played really well," said Tech head coach Jeff Parks. "Travis also finished strong today by shooting in red numbers as well. We were able to move up a few spots after a tough opening day that really saw us struggle. We just have to get ready to go compete at Old Waverly hosted by Mississippi State next week. We have to play better."
Wilmore shot a 71 on Tuesday and finished tied for 27th overall with a three-round total of 223 (76-76-71) while Sam Forgan tied for 45th with a total of 227 (75-78-74). Ben Robinson tied for 59th with a 54-hole total of 231 (78-75-78) and Jack Lempke finished 72nd with a total of 241 (78-82-81).
Mississippi State won the event with a three-round team total of 846 followed by Central Arkansas (861), Southeastern Louisiana (864), Chattanooga (865), Southern Miss (882), Middle Tennessee State (884), Texas State (888), Ole Miss (891), Troy (892), UNC Greensboro (892), Tech (896), UMKC (899), Western Kentucky (911) and Jackson State (942).
Central Arkansas' James Newton won the individual title with a 10-under-par total of 206 (67-67-72).
