LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Sophomore Matthew Harvey registered two solid rounds in the first day of the UALR/First Tee Collegiate but it wasn't enough to overcome an overall disappointing first day of team competition for the Bulldogs.
Tech sits in a tie for eighth place in the 15-team event after shooting a team total of 42-over-par 618 (308-310) through the first two rounds.
Harvey opened the competition with a one-over-par 73 before coming back in the afternoon with a two-over-par 74. He sits in a three-way tie for fourth place, only four shots off the lead.
However, Harvey was the lone Bulldog to finish the first day in the top 25.
