RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech announced Friday that it has signed golfer Jake Pritchard to a National Letter of Intent.
Pritchard joins the Bulldogs after spending two years at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College where he was ranked as high as 44th in the nation.
During the 2013-14 season he shot two rounds at par or better and averaged 76.37 strokes over 32 rounds. Pritchard finished the season tied for 58th at the NJCAA Division II Championships. He advanced to the championship round after placing second at the NJCAA Regional Championships
In his freshman campaign, Pritchard had five rounds of par or better scoring as he averaged 76.48 over 33 rounds in 14 tournaments.
The Bulldogs will enter their first season under new head coach Jeff Jenkins this fall.
