Golfers Putt Down I-20 to Louisiana-Monroe Invitational

The Louisiana Tech golf team will continue its Fall 2004 season Monday, as it travels to the University of Monroe-Louisiana to compete in the Fourth Annual ULM/Fred Marx Intercollegiate Golf Invitational.

The Bulldogs will play 36 holes of golf Monday and finish the tournament with 18 holes on Tuesday at the Bayou Desiard Country Club.

Joining Tech in the 14-team tournament is Birmingham-Southern, Centenary, Jackson State, McNeese State, Middle Tennessee, Nicholls State, Northern Iowa, Stephen F. Austin, Texas-Pan American, Texas State, Troy State, Western Illinois and host Louisiana-Monroe.

Last year, Tech finished tied for eighth place of 12 teams at the Third Annual ULM Tournament and will try to improve its mark this year.
