BATON ROUGE - Two weeks after capturing the Squire Creek Invitational, the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs will compete in the 14-team David Toms Intercollegiate being held Monday and Tuesday at the Country Club of Louisiana in Baton Rouge.
Head coach Jeff Parks will compete in this week's event with senior Clinton Shepard, junior Jonathan Bale, junior Cody Santone, sophomore Sam Forgan and freshman Jack Lempke. Senior Cody Blankenship will compete as an individual for the Bulldogs as well.
The two-day, 54-hole championship kicks off with the first and second rounds on Monday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. CT. The final round will be held Tuesday with tee times beginning at 8 a.m. The course will play to a par 72 and 6,849 yards throughout the tournament.

The defending team champion is host LSU who will begin the David Toms Intercollegiate as the No. 9-ranked team in the country in the latest Golfstat Top 25 national ranking. The field also includes No.8-ranked Arkansas, No. 45-ranked Ole Miss and No. 46-ranked Southeastern Louisiana as well as Alabama-Birmingham, Georgia Southern, Kansas State, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana Tech, Middle Tennessee State, Mississippi State, North Florida, Rice and South Alabama.
LSU captured a one-stroke victory for the team championship in the inaugural David Toms Intercollegiate at the Country Club of Louisiana a year ago after firing an 8-under par 844 in three rounds to outlast Kent State and North Florida over the course of 54 holes. The course played to a par 71 in 2009.
